1. The main idea in this text can be divided into two parts: the positives
and negatives of mood or behaviour altering drugs like Ritalin and
Prozac. Firstly, the writer acknowledges the empowering effects of these
drugs. Ritalin, for example can help children with attention deficits to
perform more successfully at school. Anti-depressants such as Prozac,
for example, provide relief to people who suffer from severe mood
swings.

to what is real, normal and abnormal. Ultimately, these easy chemical

the learner is high spirited and physically energetic. Common, noticeable
characteristics of ADHD include inattentiveness, disruptive behaviour,
restless, irritable, aggressive, and impulsive behaviour.

Furthermore, learners with ADHD are difficult to live with or teach.
Having to reinforce positive focus and contact can be stressful to
teachers. Learners with ADHD, like most other disability, differ greatly
from each other. Attention spans range from periodic loss of attention
to a dysfunctional level.

depressants pills to children for the convenience of them and for the
classroom to run more smoothly. Anti-depressants should be taken with
caution and with authorization of a doctor.

drug user is from n addiction treatment point of view, any use of illegal
drugs is considered abuse since a doctor doesn’t typically prescribe
heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, bath salts etc.
In regards prescription drugs, abuse is typically defined as any use of a
prescription drug that is outside doctor’s orders. For example, taking
more than recommended dosage or taking the pill beyond the
timeframe of what was prescribed.

6. The benefits of using Ritalin drug it works rapidly and is effective for the
treatment of acute depression where the patient needs immediate
relief. It is positive effect on the nervous system means other conditions
