1. Flexcube Overview
Flexcube is a Universal Banking Solution developed by Oracle Financial Services Software Limited (OFSS). It is formerly known as iFlex Solutions Limited. Flexcube is user-friendly and adds value to various banking operations. Currently, Flexcube is used by many banks worldwide.
Flexcube has various modules like Fixed Assets, Funds Transfer, Retail Lending and Corporate Lending etc., Each module in Flexcube offers services to the bank user for facilitating day to day activities of the bank.
2. Application Browser
Enter the Username and Password of the Flexcube application, then the system displays the Landing page of the application browser. The Landing page displays the below details:

The following are the tabs available for selection of the landing page:
• Home – Menu can be viewed by selecting Home tab on the left hand side window and Dashboard on the right hand side. Home tab should be displayed by default when user login to the System.
• Interactions – Alerts, Reminders and Conversations can be viewed by selecting Interactions tab.
• Customer – Customer session can be initiated by selecting Customer tab and this tab is enabled only when branch is plugged in the application.
• Workflow – This tab is selected to view the number of records available in each of the workflow stages and it is enabled only when branch is plugged in the application.
• Tasks – Tasks can be performed by selecting Tasks tab and it is enabled only when BPEL is enabled in the application.
• Preferences – User details and dashboards can be viewed by selecting preferences tab.
3. Toolbar in Flexcube Screens
All the Maintenance and detailed screens in Flexcube facilitated with a unique toolbar.
3.1. Invoke a new screen
The system displays the below fields:

• New – The system displays actions called ‘Save’ and ‘Hold’ when user selects ‘New’ to create a new account and transaction. System displays the action called ‘Save’ when user selects ‘New’ to create a new product or Maintenance.
• Enter Query – The system replaces all actions with ‘Execute Query’ when ‘Enter Query’ is selected.
3.2. Invoke an authorized record which is open from a summary screen
The system displays the below fields:
• New
• Copy – The system replaces all actions with ‘Save’ when user selects ‘Copy’ to copy the details.
• Close – The System replaces ‘Close’ and ‘Unlock’ with ‘Delete’ and ‘Authorize’ when user selects ‘Close’ to close the record.
• Unlock – The system replaces all actions with ‘Save’ when user selects ‘Unlock’ to amend the details.
• Print
• Reverse – This field is displayed only for a transaction screen.
• Rollover – This field is displayed only for a transaction screen.
• Enter Query
3.3. Invoke an authorized record which is closed from a summary screen
The system displays the below fields:
• New
• Copy
• Reopen – The system replaces ‘Reopen’ with ‘Close’ and ‘Unlock’ when user selects to ‘Reopen’ to reopen the record.

3.4. Invoke an unauthorized record from a summary screen
The system displays the below fields:
• New
• Copy
• Delete
• Unlock
• Authorize
• Enter Query
A record will not available for use until a new record is authorized by another user. Similarly, user cannot be allowed to modify a record till the previous modification if any has been authorized.
4. Function Id
Flexcube screens are identified using a Function Id and Function Id has a unique name. The following are the Function Ids used in Flexcube:

5. Authorization
Authorization can be done with other Credentials. Authorization can be done which is created newely or modifying the existing records of a Customer, Account, Transaction and Holidays etc.,
Before End of day operations can begin, the transactions and records which are processed during the day should be authorized.
The list of transactions and records which are unauthorized can be get from the Flexcube at any point in time. Using this information, the authorizers can easily find out the transactions or records which are unauthorized.
Example
1) Customer A is created newly by selecting ‘New’ field with X Credentials and will be authorized with Y Credentials.
2) Customer A is modified by selecting ‘Unlock’ field with X Credentials and will be authorized with Y Credentials.
6. Frequently used modules in Flexcube
6.1. Customer Maintenance
Function Id: STDCIF
Individual, Corporate, Bank and Special Customer No Generation type of Customers are created newly by selecting New or existing Customers can be searched by selecting Enter Query from the Customer Maintenance screen.
Customer Numbers are generated based on the Type of a Customer (Individual, Corporate, Bank and Special Customer No Generation Customers). Special Customer No Generation means Special Customer numbers are generated in the Customer Number field.
